General Information

Temporary residences must be renewed every year, and after 3 years the person is granted a permanent residence.

Family reunification grants direct permanent residence in cases with native Argentinian and permanent residents.

For all residences it is necessary to present birth certificate, criminal records from the country of origins, and all countries the person has been living for more than one year in the last 3 years, and the documentation for each residence.

Documentation

All documentation issued abroad must be legalized by the Argentine Consulate, located in the country that issued the document, or Apostilled if the country had ratified the Hague Convention.

The documentation issued by the consular representations in Argentina must be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade, and Worship.

If the document is in a foreign language, it must be translated into Spanish by a national public translator and legalized by the Association of Translators of Argentina.

All documentation must be original. Be warned that the immigration Office may request if it considers it necessary, additional documentation
